Orthopedic Services

The experts at Pacific Spine Specialists have gained a reputation in orthopedic services for accurate diagnoses, leading edge technology and procedures, and mindful assessments. We do not pressure any patient to get spine surgery. We assess each patient individually to determine the right orthopedic services, and when, and if, surgery is necessary. Our surgeons Dr. Keenen and Dr. Hiratzka are dedicated to helping patients manage their pain and turn their lives around. Pacific Spine and our staff are well aware of the wide-ranging implications of pain. Pain can affect your daily quality of life.

Our goal as a practice is to provide a positive, stress-free, and educational experience for patients. We explain each step of the process and give patients the resources and freedom to make their own decisions about their treatment.

Surgeries Performed

At Pacific Spine Specialists, we specialize in surgeries for the spine. In choosing the best surgery and approach for you, we look at the type and location of your problematic condition. Purposes of surgery include:

  • Stabilizing the spine
  • Removing pressure from a compressed nerve

Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) is preferred.  Dr. Keenen and Dr. Hiratzka have studied with national experts on these techniques. Minimally invasive techniques involve making one incision (as opposed to two or three) and minimizing muscle and ligament injury. MIS can improve recovery times as well. Not all cases are suited for MIS. Dr. Keenen and Dr. Hiratzka will never use lasers in performing spine surgery. Schedule a consultation to determine the best orthopedic services for you.
The following is a list of our surgeries.

Surgeries We Provide:

  • Minimally Invasive procedures
  • Motion preservation surgeries (cervical and lumbar artificial disc surgeries)
  • Micro discectomy
